Has anyone actually taken a look at either steam_api64 or Planet Coaster.exe with dbg64? I tried ollydbg but that's only a 32bit decompiler. This does NOT include the game files from Alpha 2, but it does include the emulator by /u/vegasbtch. To be able to watch the intro for 3 seconds, use the Planet Coaster\Win64\ovldata\GameMain\Main.ovl from Alpha 2 (which you can find on pirate bay). You can get the exact same result by starting with Alpha 2 and copying everything from alpha 3 into the products/planet coaster folder and overwriting everything. These are the files for what I've got so far. You'll be in the same situation as me, but you might find the missing piece of the puzzle that I couldn't find.

If you want to help out, start by downloading the files from both alpha 3 and alpha 2. Denuvo does not seem to be the problem here! All that needs to happen is for someone to find a way to properly load the game. I've hit a dead end, and I'm all out of ideas now. I've tried to override multiple files to maybe get the game to properly load, but that resulted in a horribly stable game with missing audio, missing assets, etc. exe, I figured out that overriding Win64\ovldata\GameMain\Main.ovl with the one from Alpha 2 allowed me to watch the intro for 3 seconds. Secondly, after I was able to get the emulator to work and run the. I did this by swapping around some files from Alpha 2.įirst, to get the emulator itself to even work, all of the files from Alpha 2 needed to be there as well (note: without overriding anything that's already there). The furthest I've gotten is being able to watch the intro for 3 seconds.

Now, this doesn't mean that the game is playable. Apparently the developers left all that made it possible to run the game through their Launchpad in the. exe through the Launchpad emulator made by /u/vegasbtch. I've managed to bypass Denuvo by simply running the protected.

Thanks to previous work by /u/vegasbtch, dedication, a huge oversight by the developers and some good old dumb luck, I may have found a way to crack alpha 3 of Planet Coaster.Įveryone assumed that the crack made by /u/vegasbtch would be worthless since the game is on Steam only now, protected by Denuvo of all things, but those people would be wrong.
